What are you doing to increase productivity in 2025?  Regardless of who wins the 2024 elections and how the economy goes in 2025, business leaders (especially the 45,000 CEOs and executives that I work with through Vistage Worldwide) are discussing investments to make now so we’ll be positioned for greater productivity next year.  Are you doing the same? Since we have the advantage of learning from so many peers, I thought I’d share what’s top of mind with Vistage members.

Generally, they’re focused on 5 areas:

  • Better Tech: Making such equipment up-to-date or even state-of-the-art, in order to handle the opportunities that AI offers, as well as secure against cyber-attacks which (if you’ve been following some of the stories by hospitals, schools and casinos lately) can be super-painful and expensive.
  • Better Management: Have you made your business an exciting, fulfilling and growth-focused place for workers to spend their days and many future years?
  • Better Infrastructure: Over time, infrastructure needs maintenance and repairs. Doing so on a timely basis saves time and expense incurred by losing the capacity and having to replace it.
  • Better Talent: During the pandemic, the Great Resignation required companies to anxiously seek out replacements with mixed skill-sets and onboard many poorly as we adapted to hybrid and remote work; now is the time to build a pipeline with higher level talent to become responsible for the new projects and transformations being developed in the next years.
  • Updated Mindsets: The next decade promises to bring many changes in how we work and relate to one another, as a result of demographic changes in our workforce, greater interest in working past the traditional retirement@65, job transformations as AI, ML and RPA reduce the need for human to do “grunt” work and focus on elevating their skills and contribution-levels to profits and growth.

What are you doing to boost your positioning in 2025?
